I have been painting seriously since I was 8 years old and I still find new ideas & concepts every time I pick up a brush or mix new colours.
Art is a wonderful expression of my thoughts and feelings, and I have integrated my work with the influence of well-known artists, including Margaret Olley, Charles Blackman, and Jeffrey Makin. Whilst not strictly a colourist, Olley’s depth and intensity of colour are ones I aspire to.
My inspiration from the Norfolk Island landscape and devotion to its colours, texture and form have given my work a dynamic new edginess.
Mitti of Watermill Dam will enchant children’s reading time with the adventures of a tiny yellow duckling on Norfolk Island.
Mitti of Cascade Valley was released in August 2024 and follows Mitti’s life as a mother duck.
